ESTATE PLANNING, PROBATE AND TRUST ADMINISTRATION
GOLDFARB, STURMAN & AVERBACH encourages the creative use of revocable and amendable Living Trusts to satisfy family and personal objectives, including the avoidance of probate expenses and the minimization or elimination of State and Federal Estate taxes.
Estate planning includes the review of the benefits of "estate freeze" techniques, special needs Trusts for disabled family members, corporate recapitalization, and Conservatorship "substituted judgment" proceedings. Special considerations may also require the preparation of Asset Protection Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies, and these needs are also carefully examined.
The firm specializes in the preparation and filing of State and Federal Estate Tax returns, and in the handling of any necessary post-mortem probate and/or trust administration matters, including audits and litigation related to the administration of probates or trusts.
Various members of the firm have lectured and published articles relating to estate and financial planning matters and have held positions of responsibility on law school faculties and in other professional organizations devoted to this field.
